Soon the world will be confronted with the IPv6 buzzword. Though it is not the buzzword anymore it was before. On the contrary is it now becoming a real need for the world as we know it. In a few month's everyone connected to the internet in some way will at least know the word. For those people that know about the word but not it's implications I have found the following video that I would like to show you. It does explain in a very few minutes what it's about in a comprehensive way that also non-technies know about it.

Het was de grootste droom van deze vader dat zijn zoon een serieus sporter werd. Helaas gaat dat lastig als je zoon ernstig verlamd is, dus heeft zijn vader gedacht "dan doe ik het zelf wel". En zo geschiedde. Pa heeft al 8 maal een marathon gelopen, terwijl hij zijn invalide zoon voortduwde in de rolstoel. Daarnaast zwemmen ze samen wat, zitten ze op de fiets, je kent het wel.

Het Ministerie van OC&W stelt op haar website over de Wet op het Hoger en Wetenschappelijk onderwijs (WHW) (http://www.minocw.nl/onderwijs/ho/nota2/5.html): “Vanwege de transparantie op de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt blijven de Nederlandse titels, inclusief de wettelijke bescherming, ongewijzigd. Het is aan de afgestudeerde zelf om te kiezen of hij of zij de internationale graad of de Nederlandse titel wil voeren.”

At june 29th the first of my Dutch cousins will will marry. I am really looking forward to that day. We always have been close friends as the picture below proves.

Het bruidspaar met 'vouwfiets'

Vanochtend om 9:00 was het dan zover; ik mocht afstuderen. Na 11 maanden geleden echt gestart te zijn met mijn scriptie, mocht ik 5 maanden na de start (eind november) het afstudeer voorstel "al" inleveren. Normaliter doe je dat al na 1 maand maar bij mij liep het anders. December 2006 kon ik dan ook beginnen met de interviews. Deze waren in januari al klaar maar toen moesten de resultaten nog verwerkt worden. Afgelopen 11 mei kon ik dan ook eindelijk mijn scriptie inleveren na er 11 maanden aan te hebben gewerkt.

Well, this friday I handed in my thesis at the university. Doing so ended a period of 11 months of working on it 30 hours a week.  Now I have got to wait till mid. June when i will defence my thesis and graduate afterwards. It has been a period of struggling continuously with time, motivation and results. My sister - who is an artist - created an stylized cover that suits the topic of my thesis very well.

In order to have a good performance at the stockadvise game at www.beurskenners.nl I am making use of the www.kantelpunten.nl site. Unfortunately it is in dutch that is why i will explain it in short. Every day at 18:00 the site analyses the volume and price trends. Based on that the site tries to estimate if a share will soon meet a turn-over-point. Based on these points and trends you can estimate if a share will go up or down.

Monday the 15th of may 2006 was for many classmates including me the last day in class at the university. For me the classes at the university are something that i retain good memories of. The three pictures below are a kind of memorial to those classes.
